During our first meeting in June we had a lively discussion of The End of Ice: Bearing Witness and Finding Meaning in the Path of Climate Disruption by Dahr Jamail, which several people had read.
For our first read (several really good books were suggested) The Heat Will Kill You First: Life and Death on a Scorched Planet by Jeff Goodell was chosen. “Through stellar reporting, artful storytelling and fascinating scientific explanations, Goodell brings to life heat as a world re-making force . . . This searing plea for a better, fairer, and cooler future should be read by anyone with skin in the game - which is every single one of us.” - Naomi Klein
